This freshman seminar will explore current environmental issues and elements of equity within them. It will be linked to the 2005-2006 Critical Issues in America program at UCSB (special lectures and events) and provide freshmen a special opportunity to meet with visiting experts and scholars in addition to the regular class sessions. Short readings and active discussion will be expected of seminar participants. Seminar participants will enjoy special opportunities to participate in campus events and meetings with guests to campus.
