In this seminar, we will discuss the main achievements of computer science as a discipline that has impacted our modern everyday life in ways no other discipline has. We will also explore the challenges computer science faces as more demands are being made and expected from the evolution of computers, the internet, search engines, limits of computation, privacy and security, information management and bio-informatics.
Professor Amr El Abbadi, Computer Science, has taught courses on databases, distributed systems, formal languages, operating systems, data structures and compilers.
