A great public debate exists on the teaching of evolution. What are the issues involved? What are the merits of evolution, creationism, and intelligent design? What are the distinguishing characteristics of science and how well does each of these qualify to be taught in a science course? We will discuss the issues surrounding this important debate.
Professor Stanley Awramik, Geological Sciences, is a paleobiologist who studies the early history of life on Earth. He teaches History of Life, Historical Geology, as well as advanced courses in the geological sciences.
