The course will focus on the way cultural and historical memories are embodied in places, monuments, institutions, and symbols such as Fontainebleau, the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower.
Professor Cynthia Skenazi, French & Italian, teaches courses on Renaissance literature and culture, French theater and Belgian literature. Her major areas of research activity are poetry, rhetoric, architecture, religion and travel literature.
