Description:
From the “inner vampire,” whereby Victor Frankenstein keeps in touch with his
monster, through Count Dracula, who challenges and brings into focus modern
mass society and psychology, to Louis, who embodies an open invitation to identify
with the vampire, we witness three steps toward a conclusion: vampires are us.
Professor Laurence Rickels, Germanic, Slavic and Semitic Studies, a large lecture class on Vampirism is internationally recognized. It won’t be offered again. An essence of it lives on in this freshman seminar.
