Description:
Learn the fundamentals of playwriting including plot, character theme, style, and
spectacle. Students will write two ten minute scripts, bringing sample scenes to
class which will be read out loud by other students. Students will also be required to
attend a play of their choice.
Professor Carlos Morton, Theater & Dance, is a professional playwright who has been teaching playwriting for over 25 years. His play “Brown Baby”, was produced during the 2005-2006 season at UCSB.
