Description:
How does music affect our experience of a film? Is music as important as visual elements and dialogue? This class considers findings in current film music cognition research in order to answer these questions and more.
Professor John Hajda, Music, conducts research on film music cognition and the psychoacoustics of musical timbre. He regularly teaches courses on film music cognition, musical acoustics, sound color (psychoacoustics of musical timbre) music theory, and other special topics dealing with music perception and cognition.
