Description:
A survey of how music is used in political and documentary films to influence
our opinion either for or against the subject matter or activity being
portrayed. We will also contrast music used in documentaries with staged
films on similar subject matter.
Professor Patricia Z. Hall, Music, research interests include twentieth-century music, twentieth-century musical sketches, music and politics. She has taught courses on Music and Politics (for non-majors), Analysis of Twentieth-Century Music, Fundamentals of Music, Harmony and Counterpoint.
