Description:
In modern American society, there are very few rites of passage from adolescence to adulthood. This seminar will introduce students to traditional Native American rites of passage and their influence on contemporary youth.

Professor Ines Talamantez, Religious Studies, teaches In Native American Religious Traditions with emphasis on the Apache Girls Puberty ceremony. Courses taught include: Introduction to Religion and Healing and Religion and Ecology.
