Description:
This seminar will focus on contemporary domestic and foreign policy issues in the U.S.
Special emphasis will be given to the war in Iraq and the 2008 presidential election.
Professor Mario T. Garcia, History and Chicano Studies, teaches a variety of courses including History of Chicanos, History of the Chicano Movement and Autobiography, and History in the American Experience. His major areas of research include the Chicano movement in Los Angeles from 1965 to 1975, the history of Chicano Catholicism and the spirituality of Cesar Chavez.
