Description:
This course will explore American Indian relationships with animals as described in a selection of creation stories from different Native groups. Special emphasis will be made on human and animal relationships with regard to rites of passage and life transitions.

Professor Ines Talamantez, Religious Studies, teaches Introduction to Native American Religious Traditions, which is the focus of her research. She teaches courses in Religion and Healing, Religion and Ecology, and Women and Religion.
